Seattle QB training. Listen up
Source: Frank Hughes, News Tribune
In an effort to teach them how to slide properly, Seattle Seahawks quarterbacks took sliding drills on a water-soaked slip-and-slide early in Tuesday morning's practice. They were being coached by former Mariners first baseman John Olerud. Their pants were wet the remainder of the morning practice.
I'm moving hassleback up to number 4.
Shiva, the wet pants part was for you.

Brady Quinn
Clipped from the Tony Grossi story in the Cleveland Plain Dealer:
Brady Quinn and the Browns agreed to a five-year contract this morning, ending the
holdout of the No. 22 pick in the draft. He missed 15 practices.
The deal guarantees Quinn $7.75 million. According to a league source, the total
package could approach $30 million if Quinn triggers all the escalators in the
deal.
Quinn is making arrangements to get to Cleveland from Phoenix, where he has been
working out during his holdout.
He is not expected to play in the Browns' preseason opener Saturday against Kansas
City.

We've been saying all along that Quinn's chances for 2007 were directly tied to how
long he and Tom Condon decided to hold out. Missing 15 practices is a huge obstacle
to overcome.
His only saving grace is that he's competing against Charlie Frye and Derek Anderson who haven't exactly been lighting camp up. The entire QB situation looks to be a mess right now. There is still time for Quinn to compete but he may have put himself in
too deep a hole to dig out of for this season. Let's see how he looks in practice
and how quickly he acclimates himself in the offense.
